Ana Prieto
I've been a part of IJNet's family since 2014 as the site’s Spanish translator -- and was a loyal reader of the platform before applying for the position. In the years since I've had the privilege of not only helping deliver up-to-date insights, trends and opportunities to my fellow Spanish-speaking journalists, but of constantly learning and growing as a journalist myself.
My background: I've walked many paths in journalism, and written for several Latin American outlets. I am one of the organizers of the International Non-Fiction Festival "Basado en Hechos Reales," based in Buenos Aires, and the author of two books. Soon after the pandemic began I started working as a fact-checker for AFP's fact-checking service in Spanish.
