Gabriella Barzallo

Gabriela Barzallo is a bilingual journalist and multimedia producer born in Ecuador and now based in New York City. She studied Media, Culture & Communications at NYU and has worked at Democracy Now. She writes about politics, human rights, the environment, social movements, Latin America, and has reported from New York City and Ecuador. Her work has been published in NPR Latino USA, The North American Congress of Latin America, Remezcla, etc. She is very passionate about digital storytelling and recently developed an independent journalistic project focused on covering the presidential elections in Ecuador in bilingual fashion and managed to interview the second-place presidential candidate.
