Julie Ricard
Julie Ricard is director of technology and democracy at Data-Pop Alliance, where she leads research about disinformation as a political weapon, particularly in Latin America and Africa. She lived for multiple years in Mexico, and worked with migrants and refugees in Latin America (including with the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative and The National Committee for Refugees in Brazil) and Europe. Ricard is also a PhD candidate at Fundação Getúlio Vargas, focusing her research on disinformation. For this investigation, she will be working with two researchers from Mexico: Ivette Yañez and Berenice Fernández.
