Kim Jackson

Vice President of Finance and Administration

From a young age I knew I would pursue a career in finance and administration. It has been everything I imagined and more. I am passionate about using my business expertise in support of ICFJ’s mission: to enable a global network of journalists to provide the trustworthy news essential to free and strong societies.

I oversee ICFJ’s financial, administrative and human resource activities. It is my responsibility to direct all ICFJ’s financial operations, provide strategic fiscal guidance, assure regulatory compliance and safeguard the organization’s assets. It is my pleasure to work closely with ICFJ’s stakeholders, both internally and externally alike.

My background: I started my career in Washington, D.C., working for a large national CPA firm. During my tenure in public accounting, my client base included a diverse variety of organizations, from real estate companies, retail stores and a professional sports team to nonprofits and a local city. I went on to work in corporate accounting and administration, a field I have been in for more than 20 years. Most recently, I was the chief financial officer for Middle East Broadcasting Network, Inc., whose mission is to be a reliable, trusted source of information while delivering accurate, objective news about the world to the MENA region.

I have a master of business from Averett University and a bachelor of science in commerce (accounting) from the University of Virginia. I hold certificates in Professional Photography and Digital Imaging from Rocky Mountain School of Photography and Wine Business Management from Sonoma State University.
