Madeleine May

Madeleine May is an Emmy award-winning video journalist and documentary filmmaker covering the rise of authoritarian governments, political extremism and threats to democracy. She recently joined CBS News as a political investigative producer based in Washington, D.C. May formerly worked for VICE News, where she covered the 2020 and 2022 elections with a focus on election violence, misinformation and voting rights. Previously, she lived in Eastern Europe reporting on corruption and organized crime for OCCRP. Last year she received the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in TV Political Journalism for her work documenting threats to election workers.
