Mariela Santos-Muñiz is currently working as a freelance journalist, and the Collaborative Journalism Database and Newsletter Coordinator for the Center for Cooperative Media. Completely fluent in English and Spanish, she predominantly covers Latinx people and the issues that affect them. Her writing has appeared in Nylon, The Daily Dot, NBC Latino, Ensia, and more. Santos-Muñiz holds an M.A. in International Relations and International Communications from Boston University.
