Nathalie Iriarte
Editor, Red de Periodismo Feminista de Bolivia
Nathalie Iriarte and 12 other women journalists formed the Feminist Journalism Network. From there, Iriarte led an investigation to share how caretaking and motherhood puts women in an informal labor market – the basis for the inequality and precariousness faced by women in Bolivia. Iriarte is a journalist with a diploma in Human Rights from the University of Zaragoza, Spain and a diploma in Feminist Thought. She was the editor of Bloomberg Línea and Forbes Magazine in Bolivia. Her investigations denounce violations of the rights of indigenous peoples, women and girls, as well as illegal mining in protected areas and other environmental issues. Iriarte has been a finalist for the IAPA Award and the Gabo Journalism Award.
