Priscila Brito
I'm a firm believer in the power of innovation, shared knowledge and continuous learning to help journalism thrive in this challenging digital era. This led me to ICFJ, where as the IJNet Portuguese Translator I help deliver the most up-to-date trends and opportunities in journalism for a lusophone audience across borders.
My background: I'm just as keen on music as I am on journalism, so I decided to put the two together and became a music journalist. I'm the publisher of Festivalando, a festival site that's been a reference for fans of live music in Brazil for seven years now.
As a side project, I run Negocio.Jor, an online guide to media entrepreneurship, for which I gather helpful resources and materials, and share my own experience as a solopreneur journalist.
Currently I'm pursuing an MBA in data science and analytics at the University of Sao Paulo. I have a music business certificate from the Getulio Vargas Foundation and a B.S in journalism from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. I'm also a former ICFJ Fellow, with its Digital Path to Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Latin America program.
