Samanta do Carmo

Samanta Dias de Carmo is a journalist with solid experience in the media industry. She had covered politics and elections in Brazil since 2008 and consolidated herself as a political reporter in 2014 when she assumed the position of correspondent reporter for Congress in Brasília. Samanta has reported for Radio Nacional, Azmina and Congresso em Foco. Her past positions include live radio reporter, news editor, TV producer, and recently, newsroom coordinator at The Intercept Brazil. In a manager position at an independent medium-size outlet media, she has engaged the most relevant industry challenges, such as business model, funding, and editorial project management. She is a member of the 2022 Women Leadership Accelerator Cohort at the Online News Association (ONAWLA).
