Soudi Jiménez
Soudi Jiménez is a news reporter for the Los Angeles Times publications. He covers issues of the Latino community in southern California focusing mainly on immigration and political issues. As part of his job, he writes about the services provided by the consulates of Central America, Mexico, Peru and Ecuador.
His journalism career began in 1997 as a correspondent for Radio World International magazine, which was based in Virginia. In 1999, he was hired as a reporter for the Noticias 21 newscast, broadcast in San Salvador (El Salvador) by Megavision. He has lived in Los Angeles since 2005, when he arrived as a diplomat at the Consulate of El Salvador. After seven years there he was hired at Hoy Los Angeles weekly, a Spanish publication of the Los Angeles Times. In 2019, he joined the Los Angeles Times en Español, where he currently works as a reporter.
Jiménez has a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of El Salvador.
