Stephanie Mondragón

Stephanie Mondragón is an investigative journalist from Honduras. She is specialized in women's rights, sexual diversity (LGBTIQ+ community) and human rights. Stephanie is a staff member of Reportar Sin Miedo -the first Honduran media outlet focused on sexual diversity-, holds a degree in Journalism from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras, and is also a fellow of the International Women's Media Foundation's Exprésate Program. She is convinced that historical memory is essential to build an evolving journalism with added value whose most important function, apart from informing, is educating. She believes that journalism can provide education and personal deconstruction in order to achieve justice and social equality outside of stigma and prejudice.
