Yajaira Chung
Yajaira Chung was born in San José, Costa Rica. She studied journalism and graduated in 2007 that same year she started working as a reporter in Noticias Columbia, one of the most longest-running radio broadcasting news in Costa Rica. After a year of working as a reporter, she left journalism to work in a family business. In 2009 she went to Beijing, China to learn Mandarin at Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU). She returned to Costa Rica in 2010 and started working on Revista EKA, a business magazine where she developed most of her professional work.
She started as a freelance journalist then as an editor and from 2015 to 2018 as the director of the magazine, website, and events. In 2018 she quit her job at Revista EKA and found Historiería, a startup dedicated create content using storytelling.
