The results from The State of Technology in Global Newsrooms, a study conducted by the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), showed which regions are the leaders and laggards in digital technology adoption, among other findings.

Winners of Global Fact-Checking Contest Help Truth Outpace Falsehoods

Caricatures of politicians, time-lapse videos and an app modeled on a classic video game were among the winners of TruthBuzz, the Viral Fact-Checking Challenge.

Journalists from Six Countries Honored for Outstanding Health Reporting

Journalists whose work brought to light inadequate and life-threatening medical care for mothers and newborns in Brazil, Ghana and India are among the winners of the 2017 Global Health Reporting Contest. Other winners reported on childhood cancer in China, a scourge of hepatitis C in Russia, and new medical centers for poor citizens in rural Benin.

A distinguished panel of judges selected the six winners from more than 130 submissions. The program is sponsored by Johnson & Johnson.
