Datos Abiertos Ecuador

Basado en el éxito de los programas Datos Abiertos Panamá y Datos Abiertos Costa Rica, el programa periodístico “Datos Abiertos Ecuador” intenta conectar periodistas, defensores de la Sociedad civil, y especialistas de datos para colaborar en proyectos que usan los datos públicos para producir historias de profundidad sobre temas de interés público como corrupción, seguridad, gobernanza, igualdad de género, inmigración ilegal, y tráfico ilícito. El programa para periodistas de Ecuador permitirá a los participantes aprender como identificar y acceder a datos públicos. Los participantes también aprenderán como usar herramientas digitales para procesar y publicar investigaciones periodísticas basadas en datos al tiempo que se estimula la participación de la sociedad civil.  Los participantes aprenderán como utilizar las herramientas para la visualización de datos para mejorar la narración de historias.

Dow Jones Foundation Webinar Series

Thanks to generous support from the Dow Jones Foundation, ICFJ is able to bring cutting-edge reporting tips and storytelling techniques to thousands of webinar participants across the globe. Over the past two years, we’ve quintupled our audience size and now reach more than 6,000 journalists, bloggers and students annually. ICFJ Knight Fellows working in Latin America, South Asia and Africa led our most recent webinars.

IJNet Arabic Training Network Powered by Google News Initiative

The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) is partnering with the Google News Initiative on a large-scale effort to strengthen the digital know-how of thousands of journalists across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Participants the program will learn the most effective ways to gather and source information, enhance trust and verification, use data for stories and apps, and embrace immersive storytelling.

Anti Viral Media Squad Moldova - ProFact Moldova Network

ICFJ is launching a new program in Moldova designed to strengthen local networks of media creators to counter disinformation in the country. This program will empower journalists, media professionals and civil society activists with products they need for engaging and creative storytelling based on fact-checking and social media monitoring.
