Saed Khawaldeh
Saed Bassam Kamel Khawaldeh was a 2014 ICFJ Professional Fellow from the Middle East, on the program "Unlocking the Economic Potential of Digital Media." His academic and professional endeavors follow his interests in business, media, technology, and culture. Khawaldeh is the assistant director of Annaja7 Radio, a national radio station for Jordanian youth, launched in mid-2013 by Hikaya Center for Civil Society Development, which Khawaldeh co-founded, and funded by the National Endowment for Democracy. The mostly volunteer-run station encourages entrepreneurship, leadership, innovation, and creativity among youth. He was director of youth initiatives for the All-Jordan Youth Commission in 2013, and he organizes intercultural events at University of Jordan.
He holds a bachelor’s in computer engineering from Al-Balqa' Applied University in Salt, Jordan. He completed coursework in business administration and entrepreneurship at Indiana University in 2013, courses in training and leadership in Turkey in 2012, and other training in human rights, youth participation, business strategy, and evaluation.
