In partnership with computer scientists from the University of Sheffield, ICFJ’s research division leads a major project funded by the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office designed to identify key indicators and metrics signaling escalation of online violence against women journalists. They are studying the two-way trajectory between online and offline attacks and developing open-source digital tools to detect, monitor and alert key responders to high-risk cases.
